Spinel crystallizes in the form of rolled pebbles, cubes, and octahedral crystals exhibiting, sometimes, dodecahedral tenninations. The colour range includes red [distinguished from ruby by measurement of specific gravity], blue, violet, black, green, yellow, orange, brown, white, and almost colourless. This mineral can be used to renew energy and to provide encouragement for further attempts at difficult tasks. It can also be used to enhance ones appearance, to increase the positive aspects of ones personality, and to assist in obtaining, maintaining, and accepting victory with humility . The energy of spinel is the energy of Beauty. It is known as a "stone of immortality", bringing freshness to all endeavors and initiating rejuvenation to that which is beginning to degrade. Additional qualities relative to the varying colour(s) of spinel are listed below. Black spinel can be used to provide for grounding of ones energy in order to balance the upward movement of the Kundalini.
