Our supplier tells us that the shards we offer were discovered at an archaeological dig at a Chinese porcelain factory. The factory operated from the Ming to the Ching dynasties. We are told that these shards are between 300-900 years old.

Our shard pieces are from older stock, from 2003.  The newer finds are younger, 100-300 years old, and we're told they are even becoming rarer and this supply will probably run out in the next year or so!  The older stock which we carry is extremely hard to find.
